Anyone fortunate enough to play through the wonderful late 90s era of platformer adventure gaming will quickly realize where this adorable indie title draws it’s inspiration from, the obvious culprits being the likes of Bugs Bunny: Lost in time and Banjo Kazooie. Substantiating these comparisons is Grant Kirkhope, the legendary composer for Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country among others, credited as a guest composer. Colorful worlds, casual gameplay with buds, HATS, what more could a 90s kid want from a game?
A hat in time is set to release in 2017. Prepare your butts for varied nostalgia-fueled gameplay, hilarious characters, upgrades, collectibles, and best of all: couch co-op (also online). I am SO ready for this.
